A graduate of Abilene Christian University’s M.Ed. program and a Texas Woman’s University alumna, I am a staunch advocate for student success and the development of inclusive communities in higher education.

I currently work with students in transition: students on academic probation and academic suspension, as well as students who are undecided and exploring majors/careers.
My areas of academic interest include retention and success initiatives for students of color and nontraditional and first-generation students. Data is my jam, so I nerd out on assessment and efficacy practices.
When I go to work each day, my goal is to help students discover that “[b]eyond the ability to score well on tests lies the ability to construct meaning, using words, images, and theories” (Chickering & Reisser, 1993).
